There's Life here in these Lichens
In the Fungi, In the Trees
As they suck up all their chlorophyll
And drop their precious leaves.
That's not a tree dying -
It's preservation at its best
Sometimes you have to let things go
So you can conserve the rest.
There's life stored in that trunk of yours
Even if it might not show
We all need times to rest and Be
Before we start to Grow.
